Director Raj Kumar Gupta is back with another film Raid stars Ajay Devgn, Ileana D'Cruz and Saurabh Shukla in the lead roles and is based on the story of an honest Income Tax officer who fearlessly went on to carry a raid in the house of an extremely powerful politician.
Story: Set in the 1980s, the movie "Raid" is about a fearless income tax officer Ajay Devgn, who carries out a non-stop raid at the mansion of the most powerful man Saurabh Shukla in Lucknow despite all the attempts by the latter to get the officer removed. Will he manage to stop the raid or will the officer bring him down?. Would he have the capacity to direct his strike effectively or bow down to the legislator's clout shapes the essence of the movie? What's Good:
The first half of the movie is terrific and sets up the plot very well.
The fight amongst Ajay and Saurabh is the highlight of the film.
What's Bad:
Second Half drags.
Ileana D'Cruz assumes a part of a supporting wife that could have been played by anyone and doesn't generally have any effect on the content.
What could have been better:
The entire movie is about an elaborate raid and the movie could have been a little crisper in order to make it an edgy crime drama.
Final Review: Go watch this film on the off chance that you have no plans yet run with zero desires. Or on the other hand perhaps simply skip it. We rate 2.5/5
